This fabulous woman needs no introduction. Meron is beautiful on the inside and out and has such a calm spirit. I know I say this a lot, but I am so honored to be in the presence of such wonderful, positive women. Meron is also a new mom (and a great one at that). Thank you Meron for being YOU and for allowing me to capture your beauty. The rain did not stop us this time! You were a trooper and I had a great time!

A little Mother’s Day humor (all of you moms out there know that these are sooooo true):
I had the pleasure of participating in the March of Dimes Walk over the weekend with the AAU Basketball team my husband coaches. Although the forecast called for sunny skies, we woke up to a pretty dreary day with a bit of drizzle. But that did not stop us as we set out with hundreds of other walkers (men, women, young and old) in support of such a worthy cause. As a mother of two (both full-term births), I could not imagine how hard it must be to deliver a pre-term baby and having to leave him or her in the NICU for days or weeks. I know quite a few pre-term babies that are absolutely AMAZING and have come a long way since birth – God is good! These families are very strong and I was honored to be able to support with my family. My 5-year old really enjoyed it - it is never too early to teach the little ones about public service!
My girls and I took the 3 mile route, while my husband and the basketball team took the 5 mile route. We all made it across the finish line! Maybe next time I will be brave enough to take the longer route

I am so excited to blog this engagement session from a couple of weeks ago. Trey and Heidi were such a joy to work with – very funny and pretty much open to all of my crazy ideas. I cannot wait for their wedding in a couple of months as I know it will be a BREEZE! They are so natural and comfortable in front of the camera and are just a all-around beautiful couple. This is why I encourage couples to do the engagement session. It is a great opportunity for the photographer and couple to get to know each other!

I am proud to say that I LOVE shooting in the rain! I’ve always wanted to avoid rainy day photo shoots like the plague, but in reality, it is extremely important for a photographer to be able to adjust to ALL types of weather conditions and lighting situations. So, one rainy Saturday afternoon, it was time to venture out into the elements with the ‘Fix Mixers’….and step outside of our comfort zones. And as an added bonus, we shot in a parking garage! Sometimes, you just have to ROCK with the conditions you have been given. A special thank you to Belle Soeur Styles for the beautiful hair & make-up, as well as the gorgeous models who braved the cold temps, wind and rain!
